From the workshop

How it is made

Fired in a wood kiln, each cup takes ash from the flame on one side. No two are alike — the glaze may run, speckle, or blush. We sort for soundness, not for sameness.

The Ash Cup is the size of a handful: 90 ml for tea, 150 ml for wine or water. The wall is thin at the lip and heavier at the base, so it sits warm in the palm without feeling fragile.

Every piece is checked by hand before it is wrapped. Small variations in glaze, wax colour, and glass tone are part of the batch, not a fault.
